Now here's a quick and easy blast from the past!  We grew up with these tasty little gems.  Chocolate, peanut butter, and oats yummmmo!   A perfect sweet tailgating treat.

PRINTABLE RECIPE
Here's what you'll need:
1 stick butter
2 cups sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
1/2 cup milk (preferably whole)
3 cups quick cooking oats
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Bring butter, sugar, cocoa, and milk to a hard boil in a heavy saucepan for 1 minute.

Remove from heat and mix in oats, peanut butter, and vanilla.  Drop spoonfuls of mixture onto wax paper and let cool.

That's it folks you're done!

Happy Saturday.  GO SOONERS!

Cheers,
Shannon

  2. Hey Shannon! I'm going in the kitchen right now to make these cookies for my girls to eat when they get home from school. Where did you get those cute glass pedestal stands? I've been shopping for these in my local stores since I saw them on your posts but haven't been able to find them.

  3. Hi Rhondi. I bought the pedestal stands at Hobby Lobby. Every couple of weeks they have 50% off on glassware which makes them a great deal!

Let me know how your girls like the cookies :-).

  4. OK, great! Hobby Lobby is one of my favorite stores. My girls are thrilled when they get to browse the store. I made the cookies but had to improvise since I only had 1 cup of Oatmeal left. I added 2 cups cocoa crispies. They are delicious! My 3 year old has already eaten 2. I know my big girls will like them too! You can't go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter. Thanks again!
